In the same report, among the cities where the working population increased the fastest, Manchester was reported as the region with the fastest increase in the working population in England in the last 10 years, with a very high difference.

In most cities, the premium new-build market performed better; This reflects the quest for quality and the ongoing desire for extremely comfortable, high-spec new homes in central locations. 

 

Manchester continues to rise rapidly.

Rapidly rising luxury housing value and rent increases in Manchester! 

According to JLL's 2023 – 2024 Winter Research Report, the annual increase rate of standard-specification residences across Manchester was calculated as 1.6%, while the increase rate of luxury (prime) residences was recorded as 6%. This rate increased to 9.9% in luxury 2+1 residences.

According to the same report, the annual rent increase rate was measured as 12.2% in standard-featured residences, while it was calculated as 18% in luxury residences. The Financial Times reported that the average price per square foot of completed homes in Manchester's major postcodes (M1, M3, M4 and M15) rose by 42% between January 2019 and January 2023. Price growth across the North West was 7.2%, eclipsed by London's 3.2%
